Three Laws You Can’t Defy!
Essentially, there are 3 laws in life that cannot be defied. The consequences of which may not be immediate but the Day of Reckoning will eventually arrive as the uninvited guest from hell. Either befalling upon you later in life or on your descendants. The first is the law of economics. Essentially, you can’t spend more than you earn. For a season you can live recklessly and max out your credit but in time the creditors will come knocking. This holds true not just on an individual level but also corporate. For decades Western governments have recklessly spent and borrowed money like there’s no tomorrow amassing trillions of dollars of debt! The time will come when it will need to be repaid. You cannot defy the law of economics! The second is the law of nature. With so many people now living in urban areas they’ve become completely disconnected from nature. A drought isn’t so much a negative because it means more sunny days for the beach! Take California, which is largely arid and depends upon a vast network of reservoirs to store meltwater from the mountains. The problem is that while the population has vastly increased over the past several decades, environmentalists have prevented any new reservoirs from being built. It’s only a matter of time before people will turn on their taps and there will simply be nothing coming out. You cannot defy the law of nature! Finally, there’s the law of God. The Apostle Paul warned in Galatians 6:6,7 that God cannot be mocked and we will reap what we sow. And just like the other two laws the sowing and reaping usually take place during different seasons. We may think that we can dodge the consequences but as Paul warned...God cannot be mocked. You cannot defy the law of God!
